Now that weather is changing and the flu season is upon us again we must stock up on Vitamin C, these simple few items will build up our immune system to fight off the viruses that floats around in the air.  Eating oranges, grapefruits, pineapple, limes and lemons which contains Vitamin C.

 

Vitamin C is a strong immune system booster which is rich in antiviral and antibacterial properties.  It not only aids in colds and flu, but it helps reduce the blood pressure and elevates the HDL which is good cholesterol thus reducing the oxidative stress on the arteries.

 

The recommended daily intake of Vitamin C for women is 75 milligram a day and 90 milligrams for men.
